Ferns by the Waterfall

This oil on canvas painting depicts a rainforest with a waterfall that flows into a brook dotted with mossy stones. The water flows on past ferns and palm trees, while a foggy mountain-side sits in the background. The ferns in the foreground and the overhead palm frond provide a sheltered nook from which the observer can enjoy the view. I like to create paintings that give the observer that feeling of comfort and contentment while watching the calming scenery.
